September 2024

August 2024

Have All Roundup Lawsuits Been Settled?

Why Are People Filing Roundup Lawsuits?
People file lawsuits claiming Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup caused non-Hodgkin lymphoma or other cancers. Plaintiffs allege that Bayer and Monsanto failed to warn users about the cancer risk associated with glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup.
The “Monsanto Papers” – internal documents presented in court – suggest the company may have hidden the cancer risks for years. While Bayer maintains Roundup is safe, it stopped selling residential formulas in 2023. Commercial versions remain on the market.
Bayer argues that over 800 studies submitted to the EPA confirm Roundup’s safety, despite disagreements from agencies like the World Health Organization, which classifies glyphosate as a “probable human carcinogen.”
